ABOUT
The Founder
Wax Labs is built by Pavan Gupta — engineer, builder, and lifelong tinkerer. Before starting Wax Labs, Pavan spent years shipping ML systems at scale, learning firsthand that the hardest part of AI isn't the model — it's everything around it.
Pavan believes the best software is built by small teams who care deeply about craft. No layers of management, no six-month roadmaps, no building things nobody asked for. Just identify a real problem, build the simplest thing that solves it, and iterate.
The Mission
Most AI work never ships. Teams spend months on prototypes, pile up Jupyter notebooks, and demo something impressive — then it sits there. The gap between “works on my laptop” and “works in production” is where most ML projects go to die.
Wax Labs exists to close that gap. We build production AI systems — not decks, not proofs of concept, not strategic roadmaps. Working software that handles real traffic, real edge cases, and real failure modes.
What We Build
Our products span different domains but share the same philosophy: ship something that works, then make it better.
- Signet — Endpoint configuration management. Light, transparent, no vendor lock-in.
- Imprint — AI-powered visual search. Find anyone by what they're wearing, not their face.
- ParaFax — The first software-defined fax machine. Real T.30 over Opus/WebRTC.
- Not So Rare — 1st place NIH/NCATS Rare Disease Challenge winner.
Building something? Let's talk.
